Frances Edmonds, HP Canada’s Head of Sustainability since November 2015, is a print industry pioneer in sustainable investment and initiatives, setting strategy and identifying and implementing new and emerging opportunities to successfully drive business value. First hired as Environmental Health and Safety Manager in 1999, his role expanded as he and his team began to launch some of Canada’s earliest Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs. Among his many accomplishments, he helped form Electronics Product Stewardship Canada, a non-profit industry-led association that still works with provinces to implement electronics waste-management regulations.
Consultant Mike Millard’s multi-talented 38-year career in the printing industry has seen him play key roles at many successful Canadian companies – including sustainability team leader, health and safety manager/trainer and director of prepress services from 2008-2022. at Ellis Group (Pickering, ON), as well as General Manager of Ellis Imaging (Mississauga, ON) from 2005-2008. Most recently, he served as Director of Prepress Services and Health & Safety Manager/Trainer at MAX Solutions Canada (Pickering, ON) from 2022-2024. He previously held supervisory prepress positions at Transcontinental (Rexdale, ON) and Yorkville Printing (Scarborough, ON).
